Correlation between high salivary pepsin concentration and chronic pharyngitis.
Conclusion: PEPTESTTM allowed for a non-invasive, reliable method for the diagnosis of GERD and measurement of salivary pepsin concentrations. The medium to high concentrations of pepsin found in patients could be a contributing factor to the cause of chronic pharyngitis.
