“From individual output to pooled data: A post-processing macro for Kubios HRV 2.2”: Correction to van der Ploeg et al., 2017.

Reports an error in "From Individual Output to Pooled Data: A Post-Processing Macro for Kubios HRV 2.2" by Melanie M. van der Ploeg, Julian Koenig, Mika P. Tarvainen and Julian F. Thayer (Journal of Psychophysiology, Advanced Online Publication, Mar 24, 2017, np). The article contained an error on p. 3. The Acknowledgments section should read correctly: "The Excel macro on which the updated version is based on, was originally developed by Toby Reel and LaBarron K. Hill in 2007 at The Ohio State University, as indicated in the source code. The Java-based applet [9] was developed by Andreas Johnsen Lind (Bergen University, Bergen, Norway) and LaBarron K. Hill in 2010. The authors have no conflict of interest." The authors regret any inconvenience or confusion this error may have caused. (The following abstract of the original article appeared in record 2017-14121-001.) This technical note introduces an easy-to-use macro in Office Excel to batch the output from Kubios HRV 2.2, which is a software program for heart rate variability (HRV) data extraction. Due to a new release of the program, previous solutions have become outdated. The current macro simplifies and substantially reduces the time needed to post-process the output from Kubios HRV 2.2. With the use of this macro, advancements in knowledge on the role of HRV in mental and physical health can be accelerated. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2018 APA, all rights reserved)
