Call for Applications: Arthritis & Aging Research Grant Purpose: In a collaborative effort, the Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) and the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) are seeking grant applications that focus on studying the underlying mechanisms of the aging process as it relates to arthritis. Applicants:  Priority will be given to meritorious applications from newer, M.D. and/or Ph.D. applicants in early stage career development (equivalent to assistant professor and without serving as PI on an NIH R01 award). Budget and Project Period:  Applicants may request up to $100,000 in direct costs only.  The project period in response to this RFP is one year, with the option to apply for a second year if significant progress is demonstrated. The grant period for this RFP will be June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016. Application: Completed applications should be converted to a single PDF file and submitted online as directed. Research Plan Length:  The body of the proposal may not exceed nine (9) pages, including figures and tables, excluding references, cover sheet and budget sheet.  Applicants must use standardized cover and budget sheets provided online.
