Link between Tumor-Promoting Fibrous Microenvironment and an Immunosuppressive Microenvironment in Stage I Lung Adenocarcinoma
The prognosis of even early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is critical due to local recurrence and distant metastasis following surgery [1]. Some meta-analyses and randomized trials have shown that adjuvant chemotherapy improves survival in patients with NSCLC compared to surgical intervention alone; however, this remains a controversial issue [2,3]. Clarifying the process of cancer prognosis and identification of risk factors for recurrence would help establish effective therapeutic strategies for NSCLC treatment.
