LEA 18. Safety of Outpatient Lower Extremity Endovascular Intervention in Diabetic Peripheral Vascular Disease: A Single-Center Experience

Atherosclerotic peripheral arterial disease involving the lower limbs is a common disease associated with a high probability of morbidity and mortality, with two to six times higher incidence of both cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease. After percutaneous intervention, patients have traditionally been kept for overnight observation. Time to ambulation and hospital stay have decreased by virtue of dramatic improvement of endovascular equipment with low-profile devices as well as arterial closure devices.
