Call for Proposals: Pediatric Dermatology Research Grants The Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD) announces a call for proposals to compete for four research grants supporting the field of pediatric dermatology. The William Weston Research Award (funding up to $20,000) supports scholarly clinical or basic research. Proposals are evaluated on their importance to pediatric dermatology, their scientific merit and their likelihood of success. Preference is given to young investigators seeking to establish a research program and to members of the Society. One (1) Weston Research Award will be given in 2015. The Pilot Project Award (funding up to $7,500) supports the initiation of studies important to Pediatric Dermatology. Preference is given to clinical studies and to projects by SPD members. Collaborative clinical studies are encouraged. Recipients of Pilot Project Award are eligible to apply for the William Weston Research Award in subsequent funding cycles. Three (3) Pilot Project Awards will be given in 2015. Applications must be received May 1, 2015. The awards will be officially recognized at the society's annual meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, July 9-12, 2015.
