Is it too late to apply for medicine this year without work experience?

Up until recently I had very little idea with what to do as a career. I thought about dentistry and my careers adviser got me a week placement at a dental clinic in the summer but I hated it. I found it really repetitive and boring, it made me seriously rethink my career options. At that point I had also already done my UKCAT and came out with a score of 667.5 and band 3, which isn't amazing, but could get me into a good handful of medical schools - I don't want this to go to waste. My friend has been focused on medicine for years and told me I should consider this career, I have thought about it before - but thought it was too much work and that I wasn't good enough so didn't look into it.
