International Anesthesia Research Society Teaching Recognition Awards

International Anesthesia Research Society Teaching Recognition Awards Nominations close on January 30, 2015. The Teaching Recognition Awards (TRA) are designed to recognize anesthesiology faculty who have demonstrated outstanding teaching skills and significant contributions to the academic community. Two separate awards, Innovation in Education and Achievement in Education, are granted annually. Innovation in Education ($16,000): The Innovation in Education Award recognizes and funds novel concepts or applications that improve educational programs and advance the practice of anesthesiology. Candidates at every career stage are welcome to apply, but must demonstrate recent and documented implementation of these new educational tools and practices. Interested applicants may apply by submitting an online application. Achievement in Education ($1,000): The Achievement in Education Award recognizes an anesthesiology educator who has substantially changed and advanced education in medicine. Candidates at every career stage will be considered, but must demonstrate evidence of substantial national and/or international impact in medical education.
