AbstractIntroductionPenile injuries may cause serious lesions and sequelae. Under-reported, their management sometimes can be delicate.ObjectivesTo determine the frequency and the anatomo-clinical features of penile injuries in our institution, to report the patient socio-demographic variables and to evaluate the management of these penile trauma cases.Subjects and methodsThis is a retrospective study of 15 cases of penile injuries managed in the department of urology at the Regional hospital of Louga, Senegal, from January 2007 to December 2013.ResultsThe 15 cases of penile injuries represented 1,36% of all urological emergencies. The mean age of patients was 21,86 ± 18,46 years old (extremes 4 years and 70 years old). Patients with 12 years old and under represented 60% of all cases. Open trauma (wounds, lacerations, amputations) were more frequent (n = 11; 73,33%) than blunt trauma: penile fractures (n = 2) and strangulations (n = 2). Surgical treatments performed were: irrigation, debridement and primary suturing for wounds and lacerat...

CCDS employs concentrated, vapor-phase hydrogen peroxide (VPHP) for decontamination. The system has been validated to decontaminate masks of SARS-CoV-2, the company reported. The masks are placed on shelves inside a container, and a portable, external VPHP system is hooked up to the outside of container. The system was first envisioned by Battelle as part of a study commissioned by FDA in 2015. That study involved determining the feasibility of N95 respi...
