In this report, a 16-year-old boy presented with jaundice, nausea, vomiting and reduced urine output. He developed severe acute renal/hepatic damage due to abuse of gas products. Since toluene is the main toxic agent involved in glue sniffing which is metabolized to hippuric acid, the present case was treated with continuous hemodiafiltration, plasma exchange and conservative therapy to eliminate hippuric acid. The jaundice gradually disappeared, he had complete recovery of renal/hepatic functions in ten days. We aimed to increase the awareness among emergency physicians that ``glue sniffing` should be considered in the di...

Conclusions: In general, the results from the reviewed studies suggest that BTA may be a promising treatment for MDD. However, these findings need to be interpreted with caution due to several limitations of the reviewed studies such as lack of a priori hypotheses, limited sample sizes, large gender bias, and significant difficulty in ensuring blinding. We employ theorizations of health-related deservingness to examine the local moral economies through which residents of an economically depressed ...

CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that besides delivering high-quality acoustic care, practitioners should continuously check patients' requirements for psychosocial treatment due to a loss of quality of life. The development of a specific psychotherapeutic treatment for hearing-impaired clients requires additional research focused on protective and vulnerability factors which may influence the emergence of mental disorders in these patients. Conclusions: This study elucidated the sociodemographic and behavioral risk profile of a sample of TGD youth in the MHS. Military and non-military health care providers across a broad spectrum of specialties should be knowledgeable about the unique psychosocial and medical needs, requisite sensitivity, and available referral options in the care of TGD youth. Assumptions about one's gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, or behaviors cannot be made based on birth-assigned sex. Further research is needed to investigate the health and wellbeing of TGD military-affiliated youth over time and to determine quali...
