Disaster Declarations

University of Pittsburgh. 03/03/2018 This module, the third of four modules developed by the Tribal Legal Preparedness Project, reviews the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Tribal Declaration Pilot Guidance, the differences between a Tribe being a sub or a direct recipient, and the process Tribal governments will use to request direct declarations, as well as the criteria FEMA will use to evaluate Tribal declaration requests. Participants will learn how to recognize the authority for Tribal declarations, and define the federal framework for emergency declarations. (Video or Multimedia)
