Society for Vascular Surgery Women's Leadership Training Grant Deadline March 31 The SVS Diversity and Inclusion Committee periodically awards training grants to female vascular surgeons. The purpose of the grant program is to develop strong women leaders in vascular surgery who will, over time, exhibit the outstanding accomplishments and exception personal qualities of those vascular surgeons recognized by SVS for their lifetime achievements: 1.  Contributions to SVS or other vascular societies through leadership that has influenced professional practice and the quality of care. 2. Contributions to vascular education through leadership and innovation in vascular training. 3. Contributions to vascular basic science or clinical research through continued grant support or mentoring of other researchers. 4. Special contributions to the field that may include: • Contributions that elevate the national and/or international stature of the specialty of vascular surgery • Regulatory, political, or governmental work that advances the specialty • Pioneering technique or concept Examples of leadership training opportunities include personal leadership coaching, traveling to meet women leaders, or specific training programs such as: • Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program for Women • Institute for Women’s Leadership • Association of American Medical Col...
