2018 National Health Security Preparedness Index: Summary of Key Findings

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. 04/2018 This 19-page report summarizes the 2018 National Health Security Preparedness Index, which tracks the nation ' s progress in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from the health consequences of disasters, disease outbreaks, and other large-scale emergencies. The scores indicate the ability to protect the health security of Americans from incidents like newly emerging infectious diseases, growing antibiotic resistance, terrorism, and extreme weather conditions at the state and national levels. Results indicate that readiness continued to improve in 2017, but current levels of health security remain far from optimal. (PDF)
