Cluedo in the cell: Enzyme location controls enzyme activity

(Ecole Polytechnique F é d é rale de Lausanne) EPFL scientists have found that the activity of proprotein covertases, the enzymes that turn-on proteins, is regulated by the location of the enzyme inside the cell. Published in Cell Reports, the study uses a novel biosensor, CLIP, and has significant implications for cancer treatment.
