Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplantation with Post-Transplant Cyclophosphamide Using Non-First-Degree Related Donors
• With post-transplant cyclophosphamide, haploidentical BMT from non-first-degree relatives has similar results to first-degree relatives.• Non-first degree relatives (e.g., aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren) should be considered for BMT donor searches.• Future studies should focus on assessing donor selection strategies and optimizing relapse rates.
