NNLM MAR is pleased to share successes of health outreach projects and activities in our region. Learn what your amazing colleagues are doing to increase access to quality health information for the communities they serve. Life Planning Series This community education series is designed to address difficult life planning decisions such as funeral arrangements and budgeting, important legal documents, and palliative and supportive care for the elderly. It is targeted at mid-life individuals caring for parents or older family members, older people who would like to be proactive in their planning, or mid-life individuals who would like to proactively plan for their future so as not to burden their own families. The Library is offering one session per month from January through April, 2018. To create this free educational series, the North Pocono Public Library partnered with a local funeral director and monument park, the Lackawanna County Area Office of the Aging, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and a local Attorney on Elder Care Law through the Lackawanna Pro Bono Office.
