Liver resection for BCLC 0-A stage hepatocellular carcinoma: does the time to surgery not impact the prognosis?
We read with great interest the recent manuscript of Lim et al.[1] demonstrating the impact of the time to surgery on the outcome of patients with liver resection for BCLC 0-A stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Using the propensity scoring matching method, the authors concluded that the delayed surgery (the time to surgery ≥ 3 months) does not impact the prognosis of patients with BCLC 0-A stage HCC. Heroin, we would like to propose an important issue raised in this study.
