American Association for Hand Surgery/Plastic Surgery Foundation Combined Pilot Research Grant Submission deadline: December 1, 2014 Applicants must be a MD, DO, or PhD and hold a full-time clinical or research position in a U.S. or Canadian Institution. PTs (Physical Therapists), CHTs (Certified Hand Therapists), and OTs (Occupational Therapists) are also eligible. For an applicant to be eligible, they must be an Active or Candidate member of ASPS or a member of AAHS. We highly encourage collaboration with the representatives of both Societies. If you are currently in your training, you may still apply to the program with sponsorship from an Active ASPS member at your institution. Although applicants may submit more than one grant application, if the projects are scientifically different, only one project will be funded. The Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF) and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS) recognize the importance of fostering the development of surgeon scientists and innovative research in hand surgery and hand care. The AAHS/PSF Combined Pilot Research Grant is intended to fund a research project that will advance the scientific knowledge and clinical practice of hand surgery. Applications that do not address research in hand surgery will not be reviewed.
