American Physiological Society Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology Section Horace W. Davenport Distinguished Lectureship The Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology Section Horace W. Davenport Distinguished Lectureship ($1,000, reimbursement of the EB advance registration fee plus up to $2,000 travel reimbursement to EB and complimentary admission to the section Banquet at EB) is in honor of one of the most distinguished members of the Gastrointestinal & Liver Physiology Section and past president of the APS, Horace W. Davenport. This is the most prestigious award of the APS Gastrointestinal & Liver Physiology Section. The award recognizes distinguished lifetime achievement in gastrointestinal and liver physiological research, including accomplishments in research, teaching, training and activities within the APS. The ideal candidate will have made contributions whose implications extend beyond the boundaries of gastrointestinal and liver research interests. The Gastrointestinal & Liver Physiology Section Steering Committee chooses the recipient of this award. Awardees will deliver an honorary award lecture at EB 2016 and are recognized at the Gastrointestinal & Liver Physiology Section Banquet and Business Meeting.  Nominators must upload the candidate’s curriculum vitae and a nomination letter summarizing the candidate’s qualifications.
