American Academy of Neurology Safety and Quality Awards The Safety and Quality Awards recognize research and/or quality improvement (QI) projects designed to improve safety and/or quality in practice. Favor will be given to those applicants that demonstrate innovative and forward-thinking approaches, as well as measurable and replicable improvement. Up to 4 recipients will be selected each year from the following categories: Medical Students, Residents/Fellows, Physicians, Practicing Neurologists, and CareTeams. Presentation Recipients are expected to give a 5-minute presentation of their research or care improvement project during the Safety and Quality Colloquium at the 67th AAN Annual Meeting. Recipient will receive: -- Certificate of recognition -- $500 prize -- Complimentary registration for 67th Annual Meeting -- Recognition in the 2015 Awards Luncheon program at 67th Annual Meeting Eligibility Medical Students: To be eligible a candidate must have participated in the research or QI project while the candidate was enrolled in an accredited medical school. Residents/Fellows: To be eligible a candidate must have participated in the research or QI project while the candidate was enrolled in an accredited neurology residency/fellowship and completed within one year of completing the residency/fellowship.
