Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy During Early Pregnancy in Urgent Situations: Is It Feasible and Safe?
CONCLUSION: PCNL should not be considered as the first therapeutic method in the first trimester of pregnancy, unless in urgent situations such as symptomatic renal pelvic stone with moderate to severe hydronephrosis in patients who do not tolerate or are complicated by nephrostomy or internal stent. However, this procedure could be technically demanding and should be done in centers with enough experience and equipment in percutaneousnephrolithotomy. PMID: 29101756 [PubMed - in process]
ConclusionPenetrating abdomino-thoracic injuries demand immediate life-saving measures, appropriate resuscitative care, urgent shifting of patient to tertiary care center, prompt diagnosis and immediate surgical intervention. Regulation of safety rules at construction site and early intervention in case of accidents can improve the patient outcome and minimize mortality.
Conclusions: CEUS offers good diagnostic performance, and the peak intensity ratio of caesarean scar to myometrium can be used as a quantitative index to diagnose CSP accurately.

Women planning large families should consider the risks of repeat cesarean sections when contemplating elective primary cesarean delivery or attempted vaginal birth after one previous cesarean section.
