European Union, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. 10/2017 This 31-page evaluation of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) ' s Ebola deployment in Guinea reviews its implementation, determines the lessons learned, and formulates recommendations to strengthen ECDC ' s capacity to mobilize experts for field deployment to support future outbreak response initiatives, both in and outside the European Union. The evaluation looked at all the key stages of deployment operations (i.e. pre-deployment, during deployment, and post-deployment) in order to assess relevance, appropriateness, efficiency, and effectiveness of the field activities.
