In conclusion, enchondroma growth was a rare event and typically occurred at two years follow-up in our series. Given the low risk for malignant transformation, we propose surveillance with plain radiographic follow-up for stable enchondromas every 3-6 months for the first year and then annually for at least three years of total follow-up. The most significant costs savings can be made by limiting MRI imaging in the absence of clinical or radiographic concern. Discussion Our results demonstrated that Fluciclovine PET/CT detected more bone metastases than bone scan. Importantly, there were no lesions identified by bone scan that was missed by Fluciclovine PET/CT. With the extra capacity of detecting soft tissue metastasis in PET/CT, Fluciclovine PET/CT may render bone scan unnecessary to investigate metastatic prostate cancer.

Conclusions The sensitivity of TOF [F-18]FDG-PET/CT was as high as 85% by visual analysis. SUVmax using TOF [F-18]FDG-PET/CT showed high diagnostic performance for N-staging in breast cancer patients, especially high negative predictive value. The specificity, positive predictive value and accuracy of SUVmax were higher than those of visual analysis.
