Playing Brass Instruments by Breast Cancer Patients: a way of combating anxiety
There are many studies that support music therapy, one of the most effective psychological form of creative art therapy used in treatment of mental health disorders [1]. In fact it has assisted with the medical treatment of chronic illnesses, such as cancer. This is because majority of cancer patients develop anxiety at some stage of their diagnosis [2]. Possibly the anxiety may be greatly experienced by breast cancer patients who would do risk-reducing mastectomies (RRM) and/or contralateral prophylactic mastectomies (CPM).
