Walk-in versus ems-prenotified stroke codes-time targets in a comprehensive stroke center (p1.271)

Conclusions:Walk-in strokes had significant delay in LKW to arrival, highlighting the need for community education in recognizing symptoms of stroke. People with larger strokes(higher NIHSS) tend to present via EMS. Significant delays in door to CT and stroke-code in walk-in strokes, demonstrates need for early stroke symptom recognition in the ER. EMS education and pre-notification improves likelihood of tPA administration.Disclosure: Dr. Kaur has nothing to disclose. Dr. Gudlavalleti has nothing to disclose.
