American Acne and Rosacea Society Mentorship Grant

American Acne and Rosacea Society Mentorship Grant Deadline for submission is December 31, 2014 The AARS offers mentorship grants for the purpose of assisting young dermatologists to become leaders and experts in the field of acne and rosacea by acquiring additional academic skills which may not be available at their training institutions. Up to three (3) mentorship grants will be awarded in 2014 and each grant will not exceed $3,000. All funds are to be spent within 18 months of the receipt of the award.  The AARS does not fund projects that are part of the NIH intramural research program or awards to private foundations without an academic affiliation to dermatology.  Eligible Candidates:  Dermatology residents, dermatology fellows and recent graduates (within 5 years) of US dermatology residency are eligible to apply for these mentorship awards.  The sponsor (project mentor) of the applicant must be a member of the AARS but may not apply for or be named the payee of the grant award. Proposal: Provide a short discussion of the aims and relevance of the project including sufficient detail for evaluation by the AARS Grant Committee.  This discussion should state what specific goals he/she hopes to achieve with the mentorship experience and the expected duration of mentorship. Academic/leadership potential of the applicant must be demonstrated either from the applicant's application or department chair's support letters....
