Gene Silencing of Selenoprotein K Induces Inflammatory Response and Activates Heat Shock Proteins Expression in Chicken Myoblasts. Then, the expressions of inflammatory factors (including induced nitric oxide synthase [iNOS], nuclear factor-kappa B [NF-κB], heme-oxygenase-1 [HO-1], cyclooxygenase-2 [COX-2], and prostaglandin E synthase [PTGEs]), inflammation-related cytokines (including interleukin [IL]-1β, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, IL-17, and interferon [IFN]-γ), and heat shock proteins (HSPs) (including HSP27, HSP40, HSP60, HSP70, and HSP90) were examined at 24 and 72 h after transfection. The results showed that messenger RNA (mRNA) expressions of iNOS, NF-κB, HO-1, COX-2, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, HSP 27, HSP 40, HSP 60, HSP 70, and HSP 90 were significantly increased (p < 0.05) at 24 and 72 h after siRNA transfection, and the mRNA expressions of PTGEs, IL-1β, IL-17, and IFN-γ were significantly increased and decreased (p < 0.05) at 24 and 72 h after siRNA transfection.
