Conclusions • Acupuncture can significantly enhance the expression of IκB-α, which is the inhibitory protein of NF-κB, and it can inhibit the expression of various inflammatory cytokines induced by NF-κB, thereby alleviating acute, focal, cerebral ischemic injury.
