Paramedics Plus honored by American Heart Association

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Nov. 11, 2016) – Paramedics Plus recently received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Bronze Level Recognition Award for implementing quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who experience severe heart attacks. Paramedics Plus was honored for its efforts to improve the systems of care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, including both ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) heart attacks. Every year, more than 250,000 people experience STEMI heart attacks, the most-deadly form of heart attack caused by a blockage of blood flow to the heart that requires timely treatment.
