Prognostication of patients with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) has improved in the past decade with a variety of clinical, morphologic, molecular, and radiographic methods. Comparable to data on the value of interim positron emission tomography (PET) in Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL), several retrospective and prospective studies are attempting to assess the value of interim-PET scanning in DLBCL patients. In this review, we briefly describe and analyze the various prognostic methods in DLBCL with specific focus on the value of interim-PET scanning in this disease.
