Sunshine Heart buys Baxter heart-failure tech for $4M
Medical-device maker Sunshine Heart Inc. paid $4 million to buy Baxter International Inc. ’s Aquadex line of heart failure products.
Aquadex removes salt and water from the blood of congestive heart failure patients suffering from fluid overload. The products complement heart-failure technology Eden Prairie-based Sunshine Heart is developing, Sunshine CEO John Erb said in a prepared s tatement.
