Correlation Between Magnetic Resonance Imaging–Based Evaluation of Extramural Vascular Invasion and Prognostic Parameters of T3 Stage Rectal Cancer

Conclusions: Magnetic resonance imaging–based EMVI score is correlated with prognostic parameters of T3 stage rectal cancers and has the potential to become an imaging biomarker of tumor aggressiveness. Magnetic resonance imaging–based EMVI may be useful in helping the multidisciplinary team to stratify T3 rectal cancer patients for neoadjuvant therapies.
