Conservation Intern for Maintenance Projects in GLBA

The objective of this Task Agreement is to support and stimulate work and/or education and training opportunities for young adults through collaborative participation with Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve, the Division of Facility Maintenance. RECIPIENT INVOLVEMENT The projects to be carried out are located at Glacier Bay National Park, as outlined here: 1. Repairs to Historic Structures. Repair and remodel of both interior and exteriors of visitor lodge facilities. Removal of worn floor coverings, removal of damaged wall and ceiling drywall, repairs to water damage and worn building components. Replacing insulation, hanging new dry wall, taping, mudding and sanding prep. Replacing damaged subfloor and installing new floor coverings. Repairing and refinishing closets, cabinets and counters. Removal, repair and replacement of exterior siding, roof flashing and other exterior features. 2. Repairs to Permanent Housing. Interior and exterior repairs include replacement of worn flooring, damaged wall and ceiling drywall and water damage repairs.
