Secondary tumours revealed during fine needle aspiration of the thyroid - analysis of prevalence and characteristics of ultrasound image.

CONCLUSIONS: Metastases to the thyroid are rare; however, for patients with a history of cancer, their presence is more likely than primary thyroid cancer.
