Make the Diagnosis: Why Does This Child Eat Pebbles?

(MedPage Today) -- Case Findings: This 8 year-old male patient presented with constipation after eating pebbles at school. The child was found to have normal vital signs and a normal abdominal examination. A flat plate abdominal X-Ray demonstrated innumerable 1-2 cm round opacities overlying the small and large bowel.
