The conference allows researchers to share best practices and new information with each other. Conference hosting typically rotates between Oregon State University, the University of Washington, and the University of Idaho (U of ID will host the 2015 conference). The BLM and other Federal agencies support the conference in order to stimulate attendance and reach the widest potential audience.
