Intensive care utilisation after elective surgery in Australia and New Zealand: A point prevalence study
CONCLUSIONS: ICU resource utilisation of patients who have undergone elective surgery is substantial. Those patients admitted directly from theatre have good outcomes and low resource utilisation.
