Effects of Sleep Hygiene on Sleep Disturbance in Patients with Parkinsonism

Background: Patients with Parkinsonism often encounter various sleep-related issues, including insomnia, sleep fragmentation, REM sleep behavior disorder(RBD), Restless Legs Syndrome(RLS), Excessive Daytime Sleepiness(EDS), and circadian rhythm disruptions. However, to date, the focus has primarily centered on alleviating symptoms through medical interventions, with limited research addressing the enhancement of sleep disturbances through sleep hygiene practices. We conducted a cross-sectional study to examine the impact of sleep hygiene on sleep disturbance in Parkinsonism patients.
