The characteristic and prognostic role of blood inflammatory markers in patients with Huntington's disease from China

Background: Huntington's disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that is inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern. Current evidence suggests that neuroinflammation is a strong component of HD pathogenesis. However, no report exists on the association between inflammatory composite indicators (including neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and systemic immune-inflammation index (SII)) and disease severity in HD, and there is also no comparative analysis of these indicators in HD progression.
