Objective quantification of psychiatric symptoms is crucial for both research and clinical care. Despite the existence of various psychometric evaluation methods (e.g. questionnaires, standardized interviews), these tools remain underutilized. Recent advancements in natural language processing (NLP) offer a novel and unbiased approach to analyzing medical records. Furthermore, transdiagnostic symptom- and construct-based psychiatric evaluations have become increasingly relevant for elucidating molecular brain alterations.
