Reply to Letter to the Editor on “Predictors of Early Continence after Single-Port Transvesical Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy”

We appreciate the authors' Editorial Letter and concur with their comments regarding the continued minimalization of surgical invasiveness. We endorse the highlighted benefits of the single-port (SP) transvesical (TV) approach, notably its one incision, extraperitoneal surgical access, preservation of surrounding structures, minimal postoperative pain and opioid usage, and short hospital stays. In terms of functional outcomes post SP TV robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP), we emphasize the marked improvement in urinary control, a benefit thus far associated solely with the multi-port (MP) retropubic-space-sparing (RS) transperitoneal technique.
