To drain or not to drain: A propensity score analysis of abdominal drainage after colorectal surgery for endometriosis

Bowel endometriosis is one of the most severe forms of deep endometriosis (DE) affecting 5  % to 12 % of patients with endometriosis [1]. The colorectum is involved in up to 85 % of patients with bowel endometriosis [2]. Surgery is an option for women experiencing pain and/or infertility after failure of medical treatment or when an organ function is compromised, such as hydronephro sis or digestive stenosis [3].
