National Trends and Outcomes in the Operative Management of Thyroid Storm
DISCUSSION: The incidence of thyroid storm and associated mortality increased during the study period. Thyroidectomy is rarely performed during the same admission, with an overall perioperative complication rate of 30% and no effect on mortality. Patients with acute decompensated heart failure and renal failure were more likely to receive an operative intervention.PMID:38629320 | DOI:10.1177/00031348241248704
