118 Occupational causes of respiratory cancers: Current and emerging trends and promoting prevention

Every year around 6,300 incidents of lung cancers (13% of the UK's total lung cancer cases) result from occupational exposures in the workplace. Workplace respiratory cancer therefore presents a significant burden to medical professions. By understanding current and emerging trends in occupational causes of lung cancer and the risks associated with exposures to certain substances, early identification of potential cases can be considered by assessment of the patient's working history.
