An inverted left atrial appendage —when it gives a surprise on the table

This report is about a 34-year-old male who underwent LV thrombectomy, for whom the post cardiopulmonary bypass intra-operative TEE showed a new LA mass that turned out to be an inverted left atrial appendage on exploration.
