In-Person or Virtual Educational Preferences in Patients With Fibromyalgia: A Cross-Sectional Survey Study at an Academic Medical Center
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a centralized pain sensitivity disorder, characterized by widespread migratory pain, fatigue, cognitive complaints, and various other symptoms (Clauw, 2014; Harte et al., 2018; Mohabbat& Wilkinson, 2023). The prevalence of FM ranges between 2% and 8% of the population, which has ultimately led to an estimated annual $10 billion in total healthcare related costs (Black et al., 2020; Clayton, 2015; Clauw, 2014; Harte et al., 2018; Knight et al., 2013; Macfarlane et al., 2017; Mohabbat& Wilkinson, 2023).
