Exercise is one of the main triggers of asthma symptoms, potentially prompting patients to limit or even avoid it. Also, it may predispose or exacerbate other allergic conditions, such as allergic rhinitis, urticaria or anaphylaxis. The impact of allergy on the quality of life of the general population has been well described, and, in professional athletes, it also has potential implications on competing performance 1,2.
