Rubin H. Flocks (1906-1975): President of American Board of Urology, Chair of Department of Urology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and Inventor of Colloidal Gold Therapy for Cancer

Rubin H. Flocks, MD is one of the most distinguished academic physicians whose contributions to the urologic community should not go unnoticed. Through his unmatchable work ethic and desire to inspire his residents and medical students, Flocks had a never-ending desire to serve his patients. He has co-authored multiple textbooks and has published more than 150 research articles. Additionally, Flocks held various leadership positions, including president of the American Urological Association (1969) and secretary and president of the American Board of Urology (1963-1968).
