REGROUPing on the importance of complete revascularization in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting
Complete revascularization (CR) is widely recognized as the goal of revascularization with either percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for multivessel coronary disease. However, there has been limited robust prospective randomized data to support this objective, outside of patients with ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The data for revascularization of all anatomically significant non-culprit lesions after primary PCI of the culprit in STEMI patients is compelling.
