Intracardiac Versus Transesophageal Echocardiography Guided Percutaneous Debulking of Tricuspid Endocarditis

There has been growing interest in percutaneous debulking for aspirating large right-sided valvular vegetations.1 This approach aims to achieve several objectives: debulking septic intracardiac masses, reducing the infectious burden, and establishing clinical stability, all while adopting a less invasive approach and avoiding surgical valve replacement. This is particularly valuable for this vulnerable cohort of patients who are more likely return to intravenous drug use with consequent risk of prosthetic valve endocarditis.
